Program Director Valerie Placencia
Valerie is driven by her deep connection with people and a desire to support parents facing similar challenges to those she once encountered. As a parent herself, she understands firsthand the importance of instilling self-control and respect in children. She is committed to giving back to the community by providing valuable information and serving as a support system off the mat.
Though not an instructor, Valerie's experience as a student and brief teaching stint with little dragons has equipped her with the ability to lead and prepare others. She approaches learning with a ninja's mindset, embracing growth as a path to reality.
The atmosphere at the school is vibrant and bustling, filled with opportunities for personal growth and connection. Valerie finds immense satisfaction in witnessing the growth of students, believing that being around people and meeting new faces is both exciting and empowering.
To those uncertain about joining the school, Valerie advocates for a strategy of "Feel, Felt, Found," emphasizing solution-oriented thinking and personal growth. She credits Grandmaster Garmany as a mentor who taught her the importance of taking action and seeking solutions in every challenge.
When coaching children through moments of doubt, Valerie encourages them to focus on the positive transformation they experience, reminding them that each day brings the opportunity to leave feeling better than when they arrived. She believes in the power of persistence and celebrates every moment where a child chooses to continue on their journey, knowing that their efforts make a meaningful difference in the long run.
